Registration is now open for the National Center for Biotechnology Information’s Functional Genomics Workshop, set for April 15-16 in Terrell Library. To register and for more information, visit https://orap.wsu.edu/ncbi-workshop/.
Workshop attendees are encouraged to join the presenters in person at Terrell Library 20E, the ground-floor atrium computer laboratory. In-person attendance is limited to 40. Desktop computers will be available, but participants can also bring their own laptops. Light takeout lunch is provided to registered in-person participants. Optional remote attendance via Zoom is also available.
Featured speakers are NCBI’s Peter Cooper and Wayne Matten. Sessions will cover the following topics:
- An update on NCBI BLAST and other sequence analysis tools
- NCBI resources for animal and plant genomics research
- NCBI resources for pathogen (bacteria and virus) genomics research
- NCBI resources for gene expression and genetic variation research
