Register by Sept. 30 for TEACHxWSU on Oct. 21

Register now to participate in WSU’s inaugural TEACHxWSU event from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, in the CUB Senior Ballroom at WSU Pullman. The event will also be livestreamed to other sites.

Lunch will be provided to Pullman participants registered by Sept. 30.

TEACHxWSU 2022 — hosted by the Provost’s Office — is open to all faculty, graduate assistants, administrators, and staff. Through national and local expert presentations, participants will learn about thought-provoking, evidence-based concepts and techniques, and be better prepared to create high-quality teaching and learning environments for all WSU students.

Presentations and discussions will focus on the topic of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL guidelines provide both theoretical and practical foundations for the instruction of diverse populations, and offer suggestions that can be applied to any discipline or domain to ensure that all learners can access and participate in meaningful learning opportunities.

Support for the event comes from the Teaching Academy, Academic Outreach and Innovation, and the ACCESS Center.

Sponsors include, among others, the Transformational Change Initiative, the College of Education; the College of Arts and Sciences; Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture; the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences; WSU Libraries; the WSU Tri‑Cities Chancellor; and the Student Washington Education Association (SWEA).

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it.
