Register for the 2018 InQueery Symposium

The 2018 InQueery Symposium will be held on Monday, Oct. 29 at the Pullman campus. The symposium will take place at the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center, with check-in beginning at 3:45 p.m.

InQueery is an annual event that brings together scholars, students, and WSU community members to envision the future of queer theory and politics. The symposium features a national speaker and student presentations related to the LGBTQ+ community.

This year, the keynote speaker will be Dr. C. Riley Snorton, who is a scholar, author, and activist. His books include “Black on Both Sides: A Racial History of Trans Identity,” and “Nobody is Supposed to Know: Black Sexuality on the Down Low.” The keynote will begin at 6:45 p.m.

InQueery is sponsored by the WSU Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center (GIESORC), the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program, and the Office of Equity and Diversity.
