Control Participants Needed for Study!
Washington State University is looking for individuals that DO NOT have a history of head injury and NO current diagnosis of a neurologic condition (e.g., MS, Parkinson’s disease). These individuals will serve as a control group and will be compared to individuals with neurologic conditions.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to evaluate how various neurological conditions impact everyday functioning. The project also aims to develop a new assessment task using a simulated environment that can help understand everyday functioning in individuals with cognitive impairment.
Study Overview: The study takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is conducted at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane, WA. You will be asked to complete several tasks, which are similar to solving problems or games. You will also be asked to complete several tasks of daily living in St. Luke’s Community (a simulated environment).
Benefits: You will receive $30 in return for your time. You will also be helping researchers gain knowledge that will benefit others through understanding the potential use for simulated environments.
Requirements:
- NO diagnosis of a neurologic condition
- Be able to speak English fluently
- Have no current substance abuse
- Have no diagnosis of dementia
