RA + $10K Competition application deadline Sept. 24

The Office of Research in partnership with Graduate School are excited to announce a new seed grant opportunity. Faculty from all disciplines are invited to submit a proposal for an opportunity to receive $10,000 and/or a two-semester, non-renewable Research Assistantship (RA)* in support of a new research project. The proposed project should pursue a new and innovative research idea that leads to extramural funding, or scholarly achievement as recognized by your field. The resulting award may be used to gather preliminary data to explore a single new area of research or new research at the intersection of disciplines.

The two-step competition consists of a written application (due September 24, 5 p.m.) and a public presentation during Research Week (October 23, 10 a.m.), in which the lead PI will make a public presentation to a general WSU audience and the review panel.

The winning project will be announced during the Research Week reception and awards ceremony on October 24.
