Pullman phone system maintenance, Dec. 22

Information Technology Services (ITS) will be restarting the Cisco Call Manager core system from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, to 2 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23. This will refresh the system in preparation for UPS work in the Data Center.

This work will affect WSU Pullman and will cause phones to re‑register twice during the maintenance period, but will not impact active calls. The restart will take less than five minutes.

ITS does not expect this process to impact WSU users. However, if a user encounters phone issues related to the phone unregistering, technical teams recommend unplugging the cable located at the back of the phone, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging the cable back in.

Please direct all questions regarding this maintenance to the Crimson Service Desk via email at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu or phone at 509‑335‑4357.
