Poster Child: The Kemba Smith Story

As a young college student, Smith found herself in an abusive four-year relationship with a known drug dealer and was eventually sentenced to 24 years in federal prison. She was granted clemency by former President Clinton in December 2000 after serving 6.5 years.

Smith’s experience encourages students to recognize that there are consequences to every decision they make.
