This month’s Pedagogy, Innovation, and Technology (PIT) Stop is hosted by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President in partnership with the Center for Civic Engagement. You will hear from Jessica Perone, assistant director of engaged learning, who will define service learning and share how it benefits students, instructors, and the community. We have also asked Rebecca Cooney (Les Smith Distinguished Professor, Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, WSU Pullman) and Janet Peters (assistant vice chancellor for academic engagement, associate professor of psychology, WSU Tri-Cities) to share their first-hand experiences in designing and executing service learning in their courses. Join us to discover new ways to engage your students and connect with your community.
