PERS/TRS/LEOFF participants: Retirement presentations

On Sept. 18, Department of Retirement Services will provide the presentations of the various DRS plans. If you would like an overview of your plan, and to ensure you know the various features it provides, you are encouraged to attend.  

8 – 9 a.m.      PERS 2/LEOFF 2 – Lighty 405

9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.    PERS 3/TRS 3 – Lighty 405

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.      Deferred Compensation Program (DCP) – 139 French Ad

(The DCP is a voluntary retirement plan you can participate in over and above your regularly matched retirement plan.)

4 – 5 p.m.      Plan Choice – 139 French Ad

For new employees in their 90-day election window and for PERS 2 participants eligible for the PERS 3 January transfer (members prior to 2002)

5 – 6 p.m.      Plan Choice – 139 French Ad

Also, on Sept. 21, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., in French Administration 139, a mid-career benefit review presentation is being offered. This provides WSU employees an opportunity to review the benefit programs offered through the university. Following the HRS presentation, a representative from TIAA-CREF will provide a session on planning ahead for retirement and increasing retirement savings through the Voluntary Investment Plan (VIP), available to all WSU employees.

Registration is not required, and seating will be provided on a first come, first seated basis
