Palo Alto firewall maintenance next week

Between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31, Pullman Information Technology Services is upgrading the PaloAlto firewalls at WSU-Pullman, WSU-Spokane, and WSU-Everett.

Pullman ITS is upgrading the Palo Alto firewalls on the following schedule:

Sunday – 10/27/19, Noon-2 p.m.

o   Everett Border

o   ITS Staff

Monday – 10/28/19, 8-10 p.m.

o   Sloan MCF

o   FSHN MCF

o   Neill MCF

Tuesday – 10/29/19, 4:30-6 a.m.

o   Pullman Border

o   Everett DataCenter

Tuesday – 10/29/19, 9-10 p.m.

o   ITB MCF

Tuesday – 10/29/19, 10 p.m.-midnight

o   Spokane DataCenter

Wednesday – 10/30/19, 4:30-6 a.m.

o   Pullman DataCenter

o   Holland MCF

Thursday – 10/31/19, 10 p.m.-midnight

o   Spokane Border

Although no service interruptions are expected, the upgrade involves two failovers between the active and passive firewalls during the process which will cause a one to two second delay in traffic each time, possibly affecting very sensitive jobs.

No follow up steps are required by customers.
