Please be advised that repairs to the Fine Arts parking garage will continue through Monday, August 11. Unfortunately, unforeseen issues have caused the need for additional repairs and mitigation. During this construction project, the entire parking garage will be closed to parking.
During this closure, Orange 1 parking permits will be valid in the Smith Center parking garage, and additionally, they are valid in Green, Yellow, Red, and Blue zones. (more…)
Undergraduate researchers – 59 from 37 universities including WSU – will share their summer work at the annual Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium for 2014 this Friday, Aug. 1, in the Smith CUE.
Working with top WSU professors and their teams on a variety of research projects, the students have spent on average 10 weeks at our university. They have investigated topics ranging from cherry genetics to shock wave responses to climate models, and much, much more! (more…)

Additional driving concerns and collision reporting procedures are also discussed. This program is highly recommended for drivers of WSU cargo or passenger vans. This MIGHT be our last weekend for cherry sales depending upon the amount and quality of fruit left after this weekend is over. Discounted prices this week for more than 5 pounds of sweet cherries and for more than 10 pounds of pie cherries. More apricot varieties are ripe and ready for you to pick. We also have sweet and sour (pie) cherries for you to pick. The berries that are available include red currants, gooseberries and a few red raspberries. There will be a temporary traffic revision on Grimes Way this weekend, August 2nd and 3rd (Saturday and Sunday) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day to allow an Avista construction crew to work on the power infrastructure for the PACCAR (Clean Tech) building project. Both lanes of traffic will be closed. A detour will be provided via Alumni Way and Lincoln Drive to avoid the construction site. Traffic controllers and flaggers will be present. The Student Recreation Center (SRC) will be closed Sunday, Aug. 3, until Saturday, Aug. 9, for semiannual renovations and cleaning. The SRC will resume normal summer hours on Sunday, Aug. 10. Renovations during closed week include refinishing of all of the SRC courts, cleaning of all surfaces and equipment, and the installation of new fitness machines. The Organic Farm will be on the Mall across from the CUB this Wednesday between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with fresh vegetables. Come by to see the summer crops. The farm is also at the Pullman Farmer’s Market in the afternoon from 3:30-6 p.m.
“Beguiled Again: The Songs of Rodgers and Hart” will be performed by the Washington State University School of Music at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, in Bryan Hall.
Tickets will be for sale at the door, an hour before each show, for $10 general admission and $5 students and seniors (60+). (more…)

WSU will be moving to eXplorance Blue, as a new online course evaluation system for the university on all campuses.
After reviewing the experiences of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and technical units participating in a spring pilot, in July the Provost’s Stakeholder Review Committee recommended adopting eXplorance Blue as the university’s online course evaluation system. Monday, July 21, thru Thursday, July 31, Colorado St. will be closed to thru traffic in front of Smith Gym and the P.E. Building while crews install new utilities for the Northside Residence Hall phase 2 project.
