Controller’s Office including Accounts Payable, General Accounting, P-Card & Fuel Card, Travel Services, Financial Reporting, Sponsored Programs, Student Accounts. Purchasing Services, including University Stores, Central Receiving, Contracts Office, and Treasury Services. The Payroll Department and University Receivables will be operating on limited staff during that time

Washington State University’s 2017 Woman of the Year and Women of Distinction Awards will be presented at the Women’s Recognition Luncheon in Pullman, Washington, March 8, 2017, 11:30 a.m. in the CUB Ballroom.
Each year, Washington State University honors women whose lives, work and mentorship promote equality and wellbeing for their communities. This year’s theme is “Honoring Women’s Resilience.” The awards are given by the WSU President’s Commission on the Status of Women. This year eight women will be recognized for their resiliency, achievements and contributions to the academic and local community, and to our society.
After a long and cold winter, there’s bound to be a lot of projects around the house needing attention. Can’t get motivated to do them yourself? Rent-a-rower instead! The men’s crew team is devoting several weekends this spring to helping people like you get the work done. We are taking reservations for March 11-12. Visit row.wsu.edu and click on the rent-a-rower link in the menu. It’s just $15/hour per rower. All money raised will go to supporting the WSU Crew Team.

This spring break WSU’s Outdoor Recreation Center will be leading a pair of week-long excursions. These adventures will take place in California’s Yosemite Valley and Arizona’s Glen Canyon. Participants will get to kayak through the scenic Glen Canyon, one of the country’s premier flat water kayaking locations. On the Yosemite trip, hikers will be able to witness and explore the beautiful valley that is the crown jewel of Yosemite National Park. If these trips sound like an amazing adventure to you make sure you sign up early! This year’s excursions are filled but the ORC holds many trips like this throughout the year. Karen joined Simpson Strong-Tie in 1984 as an engineer in the Research and Development. In 1994, she became Manager of R&D and was promoted to Vice President of Engineering in 1997. In 2006, Karen continued as VP and took on the role of Branch Manager for the Simpson Strong-Tie Stockton, California manufacturing facility where she successfully ran one of their largest profit centers. She then transitioned into the role of CFO, Treasurer, and Board Secretary in 2009 then began her current role as the CEO of Simpson Manufacturing in 2012
