We are looking for volunteers* to join our study to evaluate texture perception and sensitivity.
*You must be at least 60 years of age or older and living independently or unassisted
How the study will work:
Qualified participants will attend a 1‑hour session that will take place at the WSU Sensory Science Center. During this session, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire then researchers will measure your saliva flow rate, medication intake, oral health, mouth behavior, particle sensitivity, oral tactile sensitivity, and food texture preferences. Part of this session will require testing yogurt samples. Participants must not have an allergy or intolerance to the following ingredients: Dairy/milk, quinoa, or wheat
Participation in the study will be compensated with a $20.00 gift card to Walmart.
