Oct. 4: Screening of “Paris is Burning” and speech from Cesar Valentino

Watch the documentary “Paris is Burning” and listen to keynote speaker Cesar Valentino talk about the significance of Vogue as a dance style and art form at WSU Pullman on Oct. 4. The event will take place in Chinook 150 at 5:30 p.m.  Valentino is a highly sought-after Vogue dancer, educator, and performer.

“Paris is Burning” provides a vibrant snapshot of the 1980s through the eyes of New York City’s African American and Latinx Harlem drag ball scene.

Refreshments will be served. This event is open to everyone.

The event is sponsored by University Recreation, the Student Entertainment Board, GIESORC, and Multicultural Student Services, in observance of LGBTQ+ History Month.
