Nov. 12: Should Washington Adopt a Carbon Tax?

There will be two presentations by Yoram Bauman, the entertaining ‘Stand-Up Economist, the World’s First and Only’ https://standupeconomist.com/about/. He is representing CarbonWA https://carbonwa.org/, an organization advocating a tax on

carbon, modeled after British Columbia that would be tied to a decrease in Washington sales tax. Their goal is to get this on the ballot in November, 2014. Bauman’s talk, Should Washington Adopt a Carbon Tax? will be presented first as part of the Foley Institutes’ Coffee and Politics series at noon in 308 Bryan Hall. The second talk at 6 p.m. will be in Todd Hall Auditorium. The talks are sponsored by the WSU Foley Institute and the WSU Environmental Task Force, respectively.
