Nominations open for new Pullman Chancellor’s Awards for Leadership

Nominations are open for the new Chancellor’s Awards for Leadership!

The Chancellor’s Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the WSU Pullman campus and surrounding community, as well as those who support leadership development in WSU Pullman students. It will be awarded annually to five students, and each winner will receive $500.

The new award joins the revamped President’s Award for Leadership, which will now be given to one student from each WSU campus. Winners will receive $1,000. The changes bring WSU Pullman in line with other WSU campuses, which have their own Chancellor’s Awards.

Also new is the Distinguished Leader Award created by the Center for Student Organizations and Leadership. This award will recognize 25 Pullman students as well as faculty, staff, and student and community organizations.

Winners of the Chancellor’s Awards and President’s Award will be selected from the Distinguished Leader Award recipients.

Nominations are due Feb. 28. To view award criteria and nominate someone, visit the Chancellor’s Awards web page. Award winners will be recognized during a ceremony on Tuesday, April 16, at 5 p.m. in the CUB Senior Ballroom.
