Effective for the fall 2016 semester, WSU’s SAP policy has changed. Our new policy will be based on separate state and federal requirements:
- Students receiving state aid (ex. State Need Grant, College Bound, Passport, and State Work-Study) must meet the new state requirements.
- Students receiving federal and institutional aid (ex. Pell Grant, SEOG, Cougar Commitment, Institutional Grant, Direct Stafford Loans, and Direct PLUS Loans) must meet the new federal requirements.
- Students receiving both state and federal or institutional financial aid funds must meet both sets of requirements to continue to be eligible for financial aid.
For more specific information about our new SAP requirements, please feel free to check our SAP website or reference our 2016-2017 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Handbook.
Beginning this week, we will be sending this information to all financial aid recipients via their WSU email account.
Feel free to contact our SAP Team at sapappeal@wsu.edu if you have any questions at all.
Sincerely,
Student Financial Services
