Sept. 29 – National Park Service Centennial Celebration at WSU Tri-Cities

2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Park Service system. Throughout the year, each national park across the country has or will be celebrating the centennial in their own unique way. The Department of Energy and the Park Service have chosen the last week of September to celebrate the Park’s birthday at the recently established Manhattan Project National Historical Park—Hanford Unit in Richland.

In honor of this anniversary, the Hanford History Project at WSU Tri-Cities is partnering with the NPS to host a birthday celebration/fundraiser to benefit jointly the Hanford Friends of the Park and the Hanford History Project.

The event will take place Thursday, September 29, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the Ste. Michelle WSU Wine Science Center. Tickets are $60 and include hors d’oeuvres, Washington wine, entertainment, and a silent auction.

Tickets are limited. RSVP by 9/21 to Jillian at 509-372-7447 or by email at j.gardner-andrews@tricity.wsu.edu.
