Annie Du, PhD — research professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, Washington State University Pullman — will be visiting WSU Spokane. Her seminar entitled, “Nanotechnology-Enhanced Biosensors for Biomedical and Healthcare Applications,” will be in person in the Spokane Center for Clinical Research and Simulation room 250 and through Zoom on Tuesday, Feb. 20, noon–1 p.m.
Biosensors represent a modern engineering tool with widespread applications in numerous areas, including health care, biomedical research, environmental monitoring, and security. Through the integration of nanotechnology, biosensors have opened the door to novel sensing mechanisms and sensing capabilities. This seminar delves into the intersection of nanotechnology and biosensor technologies, exploring their synergistic potential to revolutionize biomedical and healthcare domains. The discussion encompasses the integration of nanomaterials into biosensing platforms, elucidating their role in enhancing sensitivity, specificity, and multi-functionality. The focus extends to diverse applications, including disease diagnostics, biomarker monitoring, and targeted drug delivery.
We look forward to you joining us in person (SCCRS 205) or through Zoom!
