Molecular Plant Sciences seminar (MPS 515)

Joshua Gendron, Associate Professor of Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology, Yale University, presents “Illuminating the plant calendar.”

Winter is a particularly challenging, but also necessary, season for plants. Dr. Joshua Gendron will talk about the identification of a photoperiod measuring mechanism in plants that induces genes in winter that are necessary for survival. He will also talk about the development of a real-time reporter for the plant calendar that allows us to visualize the plant calendar in real time.

Wednesday, September 23, at 12:10 p.m. via Zoom.
