We are looking for individuals with little or no mindfulness experience aged 18 to 50 to participate in a study on mindfulness, the brain, and decision making.
Participation involves one approximately 2 hour visit at WSU’s Childhood Cognition Lab housed in the Department of Human Development. We will schedule an appointment at a convenient time for your family.
During the study, people are asked to relax or practice mindfulness. They are also asked to do a series of tasks that are designed to assess decision making, such as using a rule to match objects by their color. During these tasks we will be recording people’s brain waves using electroencephalography (EEG).
The goal of the study is to understand more about the brain basis of mindfulness and its relation to decision making. People are also asked to fill out some questionnaires about their mindfulness practices.
Participants will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card.
