Microsoft to retire legacy version of Outlook for Mac, Oct. 31

Microsoft is retiring the legacy interface of the Outlook desktop application for Mac devices on Friday, Oct. 31.

Following this change, the option to view or return to the legacy interface of the Outlook desktop application for Mac devices will no longer be available.

Microsoft will automatically transition impacted users to the new, supported interface of this application. No action is required for users already accessing the new interface.

Information Technology Services (ITS) encourages impacted users to transition their Outlook desktop application on their Mac device to the new interface ahead of Oct. 31. Early use provides an opportunity to become familiar with the updated application layout and features.

Users accessing Outlook via the web or a Windows device are not impacted by this change.

For assistance transitioning to the new Outlook for Mac interface, please visit the ITS website or contact Crimson Service Desk at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu.
