Microsoft to change multi‑account access in Outlook on the web

Microsoft will retire features between early March and late June 2026 that currently allow users to link personal email and calendar accounts with their work accounts when using Outlook in a web browser.

When the retirement is complete, linked personal accounts will disconnect automatically. Users will no longer be able to view or combine personal and work information simultaneously in the browser-based version of Outlook.

This change impacts only WSU users who have connected personal and work accounts in Outlook on the web. Outlook desktop applications on Windows and Mac will continue to support multi-account access and will not be impacted.

WSU users who require ongoing access to combined personal and work email or calendar views are encouraged to transition to or continue using the Outlook desktop application:
