Increase your awareness of mental health issues and improve your ability to help, with Mental Health First Aid training this Summer. There are two sessions offered: June 24 and July 15/16. Spots fill up quickly, so don’t miss your opportunity to become a certified Mental Health First Aider.
This certification training will provide knowledge to help identify risk factors, signs and symptoms of mental health issues, and how to help in a crisis situation. Participants will learn what to do until the appropriate professional help arrives and also gain general awareness about prevalence rates and available treatment. Preregistration is required and seats cannot be held until payment is received. The cost is $40 and can be via IRI for WSU departments or with cash or check.
