May 23 and 25: Employee Assistance Program WSU Visit & Second Annual Leading in Cougar Country Event

WSU HRS is pleased to host Darrow Brown, Program Director with Washington State Employee Assistance Program on the Pullman campus on Monday, May 23. During this visit he will provide the following WSU system-wide group sessions in a hybrid format. We encourage all WSU faculty and staff to take advantage of these great opportunities. For those on the Pullman campus, we encourage you to join in person!

On Wednesday, May 25, HRS Learning and Organizational Development is hosting the second annual Leading in Cougar Country event. The event is intended for faculty and staff leaders (and developing leaders) at various echelons within the WSU system, including but not limited to academic chairs and directors, non-academic directors, managers, supervisors, administrative managers, and emerging leaders.

Areas of focus include:

  • Leading through change
  • How change impacts people and organizations
  • Communicating change
  • Dealing with and working through resistance
  • Designing and implementing organizational change strategy
  • Overcoming burnout
  • Growth mindset
