May 17: WSU Extension Forester hosts hands-on Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance Workshop

WSU Extension hosts a Hands-On Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance Workshop, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in White Swan.

Participants learn how to run saws safely and efficiently for accomplishing woodlot management tasks and preserving life and limb. Learn to sharpen a chain, handle a saw for safe felling and bucking, learn about “kickbacks” and “widowmakers,” important equipment, and more.
