Scott Maloney, MBA, BS ’02, is back for his second annual Maloney Workshop presented by the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University.
This year’s theme is Charting Your Successful Industry Career with a focus on preparing graduate students to best position themselves for rewarding careers. “Sea Change: Navigating the Waters of Cancer Drug Development from Bench to Bedside in the Age of Immunotherapy.”
The WSU community is invited to attend the keynote delivered by renowned physician-scientist, Sam Blackman at 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, in the Veterinary Biomedical Research (VBR) Building 305.
Blackman is trained in pediatric hematology-oncology and pediatric neuro-oncology. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and will discuss lessons learned in the field. Dr. Blackman is a graduate of the pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Boston, and the pediatric residency program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and received his MD and PhD degrees at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and Department of Pharmacology.
