Matthew Jeffries named GIESORC Director

Matthew Jeffries, academic coordinator in WSU’s College of Education, has been named director of the Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center.

Jeffries, who will begin his new position June 1, succeeds Heidi Stanton Schnebly, who several months ago accepted a position at Eastern Washington University.

In his new position, Jeffries is most excited about developing long-term connections with students, discovering what challenges they face and collaborating with others to help alleviate barriers for LGBTQ students.
