The College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy will host Drs. Nikki Woods and Maria Mylopoulous, world class medical educators and speakers, for a 1.5 day teaching symposium on the science of learning. The focus of these workshops will be the integration of basic and clinical sciences in education – with a strong foundation in cognitive neuroscience.
Wednesday, March 21 (Location: ADBF 1002) – 12 p.m. – Keynote Lecture – How we know what isn’t so: Reconsidering the value of basic science; 3-5 p.m. – Workshop – Preparing learners to be the experts we need.
Thursday, March 22 – 9-11 a.m. – Workshop – Teaching strategies for cognitive integration (Location: ADBF 1002); 12 p.m. – Workshop – Assessment matters: Aligning assessment with curricular goals (Location: Bustad Hall 145).
