Making evening and weekend parking easier at WSU

WSU Transportation Services wants to remind you that all evening and weekend parking in the Fine Arts garage will be purchased by using the newly installed electronic pay station.

This new permit vending machine will operate for evening and weekend parking only.  An Orange 1 permit is still required to park in this garage from 5 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will continue to be valid for evenings and weekends. However, for those who do not have an Orange 1 permit and wish to use this garage after 5 p.m. on weekdays or all day Saturday and Sunday, the pay station’s new “pay-by-plate” system will make parking easier and get you to your event quicker. Just snap a photo of your vehicle license plate with your cell phone (so you don’t forget it), go to the pay station by the first floor elevator, enter your license plate, make your payment, and you are on your way! Your license plate becomes your permit so there is no need to put a physical permit in your vehicle! Pricing will remain the same at $3 after 5 p.m. on weekdays and $3 per day on Saturday and Sunday.

If you have a new car and haven’t got your license plates yet, you will need to have the last four of your Vehicle Identification (VIN) Number, located in the lower driver side of your windshield.

Evening and weekend parking will continue to be available in the Smith Center, Terrell Library, and Daggy garages.

Please contact Transportation Services with any questions.
