On Wednesday, July 14, and Thursday, July 15, Information Technology Services (ITS) will be upgrading the GlobalProtect virtual private network (VPN) software client on the schedule listed below.
Wed., July 14, at 8 to 8:15 p.m.: Vancouver Border Firewall
Thurs., July 15, at 8 to 8:15 p.m.: Pullman Border Firewall and Spokane Border Firewall
There is no outage expected, however, users who are logged into the VPN at the time of the upgrade may need to disconnect and reconnect to the VPN once the maintenance is complete. Following the maintenance, users who need to upgrade their application will be alerted through their GlobalProtect VPN software and should do so. Users who are not prompted do not need to upgrade.
If users have problems connecting to the VPN after upgrading their client, ITS suggests uninstalling and reinstalling the client, followed by rebooting their computer. The client can be found at https://vpn.wsu.edu.
