Long Term Disability Insurance Coverage Changes in 2022 – Attention Recommended

Changes to the Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits will impact all benefit-eligible employees starting January 1, 2022, as recently explained in a letter mailed by the Health Care Authority to all benefit-eligible employees’ residential addresses.  One of the changes is an automatic enrollment into the 60% benefit plan, unless you opt-out or elect the new 50% plan.  The level of benefits, as well as the premiums, will also be changing.

HRS Benefits will provide informational sessions to review the LTD benefits and changes, and address questions you may have.  Sessions are currently scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., and Friday, November 5, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
