The 2017 Open Enrollment period for 2017 ends today. Employees must have all hard-copy changes submitted by 5 p.m., with online changes still available to be made through midnight. Please note that there have been issues with the MetLife online portal, so you may wish to submit a hard-copy form to ensure you meet the deadline.
This is a one-time opportunity to add life insurance coverage up to $500K on yourself, $100K on a spouse/registered domestic partner, and $10K on eligible children, with guarantee approval. Additional coverage is available with the completion of a medical questionnaire for review by MetLife.
You are also encouraged to provide MetLife with your beneficiary designations, as well as review accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage for your family, since this information will not transfer from your current policy to MetLife. However, beneficiary and AD&D coverage can be addressed at any time if you miss the open enrollment window.
