Lead climbing clinic

Calling all climbers! As you begin perfecting your climbing abilities, it’s time you take on new skills and challenges to apply outside! Learn how to lead climb, which involves clipping your rope into protection as you ascend, at one of UREC’s Lead Clinics. There are two opportunities for clinics this month: Feb. 14 from 1-3 p.m. or Feb. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Registration ends Feb. 8 and Feb. 22, respectively.

Clinic registration is $5 and includes harnesses, shoes, and belay devices. Program rating is level 3. Participants must have a belay qualification through the WSU SRC Climbing Wall and have a strong base knowledge of roped climbing methods and systems.
