Do you know a student who’d make a great RA? Encourage them to apply!

Housing and Residence Life is recruiting new Resident Advisors for the 2020-2021 academic year. The application opens on Nov. 20 and closes Jan. 12.

Faculty and staff can encourage interested students to attend an upcoming information session:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. – Stephenson Complex Game Room
  • Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. – Honors Hall Lounge
  • Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. – Global Scholars Hall Lobby

RAs receive a level 3 RDA plan and a room in the hall they’re assigned to. RAs also develop resume-building skills and leadership experience.

Requirements

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a minimum semester GPA of 2.0 based on credits earned at WSU.
  • Status as a full-time student, carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Ability to successfully complete the one credit UNIV 497 course concurrent to appointment (unless special arrangements have been made).
  • Ability to attend pre-service training
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
