TODAY: Kay and Lou Vyhnanek Retirement Party

WSU Libraries is hosting a retirement party for Kay and Lou Vyhnanek from 3-5 p.m. today, Dec. 18, in the Terrell Library Atrium. Please join us in celebrating their combined 65 years of service at the university.

Kay joined the libraries in 1979, working first in the Owen Science Library, and then becoming head of the libraries’ interlibrary loan department in 1982. Since 2006, she has played an important role as the scholarly communication librarian as the libraries moved further into digital collections and preservation.

Lou came to WSU in 1984, serving as the history librarian and being involved in collection development throughout his career. He has been the collection manager for the humanities and social sciences for many years, and his contributions there will be missed.

We appreciate and recognize their many contributions to the libraries, to WSU and to the profession through their active participation in the American Library Association.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
