Join the WSU Police Department Advisory Board

The WSU Police Department Advisory Board serves as a collaborative forum of students, faculty, and staff for independent perspectives and meaningful dialogue on issues of significance to the WSU Police Department. They offer guidance to department leadership on policy development, review, and incident response to strengthen local expertise and accountability. They also foster inclusive participation in police training and protocols, creating open communication channels that support mutual understanding, transparency, and continuous improvement of policing practices.

Advisory Board members are responsible for building a working knowledge of the WSU Police Department and best practices in campus policing. They are also responsible for offering thoughtful, independent guidance on issues presented by WSU Police Department leadership, sharing diverse perspectives that reflect community interests and promote transparency, and serving as trusted resources to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement for WSU Police Department leadership.
