International Women’s Day, March 8, is a day designated by the United Nations since 1911 to celebrate women’s achievements, struggles, and influence. All students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to celebrate this day and honor the women who have influence you.
On March 8, carnations with inspirational messages will be distributed in the CUB starting at 11 am, a Public Square discussion about Trans* Rights will take place noon – 1 p.m. in Butch’s Den, and a One Billion Rising presentation and dance will take place 4 – 5:30 p.m. in Butch’s Den. On March 10, students are invited to a Professional Sharing Night dinner at 6 p.m. in the Carson Center. RSVP for this event by emailing ip.intlcenter@wsu.edu.
