Important firewall maintenance notification

Pending final Change Control Board approval at Tuesday’s meeting (Dec. 19), ITS is upgrading all the ITS-managed Palo Alto firewalls.

Due to the number of firewalls involved, the upgrades will be spread out during the winter break, starting with the distribution firewalls for ITB, IT staff, and Sloan. The critical border and data center firewalls will be the last to  be upgraded, at the very end of the month (border on Dec. 29 and data center on Jan. 2).

Additional notifications will be sent prior to the start of the upgrades.
