Join the ‘I was first too’ campaign

Join the the Office for Access and Opportunity in our ‘I was first too’ campaign.

Faculty and Staff make a difference in our first-generation students as they help improve the transition, persistence, and graduation outcomes in a dynamic environment by providing academic support and creating a caring and engaged community. We invite WSU faculty and staff who identify as first-generation to wear a “I was first too” button during the first week of school. We hope you will wear this button with pride to bring awareness to the prevalence of the unique strengths and achievements first-generation students, faculty and staff bring to our campus.

If you would like to request a free button we have a limited supply. You can request a button by visiting: https://aea.wsu.edu/im-first-button/

For questions, please contact: Omar Zaragoza, 509-335-1280 or aea@wsu.edu
