Four Glimpses of Scholarship in the Humanities: A Roundtable
Dr. Jennifer Thigpen (History) will moderate a roundtable discussion at 4:30 p.m. in the Honors Hall Lounge with Dr. Victor Villaneuva (English) presenting “The Language of Columbus’s First Indians,” Dr. Michael Myers (PPPA) presenting “Empathy and Religious Diversity,” Dr. Linda Heidenreich (CCGRS) presenting “The Mestiz@ as witch: the 3rd sex in nineteenth century greater Mexico,” and Dr. Christopher Lupke (DFLC) presenting “History and the New Human in Contemporary Chinese Poetry.” This event is sponsored by the Humanities Planning Group and is open to the public—refreshments will follow.
