Green 2 Parking Lot at Education Addition — Closed off after January 15 for Digital Classroom project

On January 4, site fencing starts going up around the Digital Classroom Building site at the corner of Nevada and Washington Streets (north of the Washington Building) to prepare for construction to begin. A single lane roadway will be established directly in front of Waller Hall to allow access to the Neil/Webster/Stimson Crimson 2 lot. This single lane roadway will have red and green lights for traffic control, similar to a highway project. This access to the Neil/Webster/Stimson lot will be accessible throughout construction (June 2017) with some limited access times that will be defined as the project progresses. WSU deliveries and waste management should coordinate the times for delivery to avoid congestion as much as possible.

The one lane access road will also provide access to the Green 2 lot just east of the Education Addition until January 15. All cars in that lot will need to be removed by the end of business day on the 15th.

Jan 16: The site fencing will be revised and the Green 2 parking lot will be closed permanently.

Safety is our utmost concern and plans will be in place for construction deliveries and a separate pedestrian pathway.

The area around the construction site will be very busy throughout the project but trucking plans are being developed to keep most of the construction traffic away from the Stadium Way and Nevada intersection.

Pedestrian safety plans are also being developed and will be issued in the coming weeks as well as posted signage to assist pedestrians around the project site.

ADA and egress adjustments will be clearly marked for occupants of Cleveland and Owen who would normally exit their buildings to the South. The ADA parking from the Green 2 lot will be relocated to the Green lot north of the Commons building.

Please contact Blaine McMahan with any questions or concerns.
