‘Grant Writing Fundamentals for the Arts and Humanities’

“Grant Writing Fundamentals for the Arts and Humanities” is a four-week course designed specifically for faculty in the arts and humanities who are new to grant writing or who want to polish their skills.

The course consists of four 1.5 hour Zoom sessions, inclusive of a lecture, in-class discussion, take home assignments, and in class sharing and feedback on the take home assignments. Participants will be provided with planning and visioning tools, and copies of the lecture slides.

Session topics will include:

  • Funders and goal alignment
  • Grant readiness for competitiveness
  • Pre-writing activities
  • Identifying resources and partners/collaborators
  • Writing grants with reviewers in mind followed by a mock review

The course will run from Oct. 4–25 and will consist of weekly virtual sessions on Wednesdays from 9–10:30 a.m.

The course is limited to 15 faculty system-wide!
