General university classroom support transition update

Transition date of April 16

Effective April 16, Pullman’s general university classroom (GUC) support, including staff and services, is formally transitioning to Information Technology Services (ITS).

We are here to help

As we prepare for this organizational shift, ITS recognizes the potential challenges this transition may introduce. Our team remains committed to supporting all involved, including GUC staff, customers, and campus partners, through a seamless transition. ITS is always available to provide more information and discuss the impacts of this move for you, your teams, and your customers.

Transitional steering committee

Scheduled to begin meeting next week, ITS is partnering with technology experts and stakeholders in a transitional steering committee serving needs and concerns at all levels.

Major processes underway for GUC support transition:

  • Inventory review
  • Knowledge transfer
  • SLA reviews
  • Service transfer for phone and ticketing support
  • Assessing GUC spaces and needs
  • Continuing project work with GUC committee and facilities

Thank you

Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this time. While the team and service will officially move on April 16, it may take a good portion of the summer to ensure all the details are fully updated to the new organization.

Please reach out to ITS director, Jacqueline Southwick, via email at jsouthwick@wsu.edu with any questions or concerns.
