The “Fundamentals of Grant Writing Across Disciplines” series is a five-week course open to any faculty members who are pursuing a specific funding opportunity and would like support or who want to hone their skills developing a proposal. The course consists of five 1.5-hour sessions, including participant discussions, short lectures, take-home assignments, and in-class sharing and feedback on take-home assignments. Before the course, participants are expected to have selected a funding opportunity to target.
If needed, participants may also attend a prerequisite session for finding funding, held Feb. 4.
Participants will be provided with grant-writing tools and copies of the lecture slides. Sessions will be presented virtually and in-person in the Pullman Office of Research conference room (Lighty 280) on Tuesdays from 9:30–11 a.m., Feb. 18–March 25 (with a week off for WSU Spring Break).

Interested faculty are invited to submit an online application and a letter of support from their department chair by Jan. 24.
