Free WSU faculty/staff fitness classes

With the start of the new year, many people are contemplating changes to their lifestyle. CAHNRS would like everyone to know that free fitness classes are available to all employees, staff, faculty, retirees, and spouses there of. Classes are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30–6:30 p.m., usually at Ensminger Pavilion but sometimes at a back-up location due to evening events. This semester offers the following options:

  • Zumba Gold (Tuesdays) — low cardio/low impact dance fitness set to rhythms of Bachata, Bollywood, Calypso, Flamenco, Rock & Roll, Salsa, Swing, Tango, etc.
  • Introductory Yoga / CIRCL (Wednesdays)warm-up and pose holding for the first thirty minutes then followed by flowing movements set to music (CIRCL).
  • Zumba Toning (Thursdays) —  low endurance dance fitness. The same rhythms as Zumba Gold but using one pound toning sticks.

Semester classes begin Jan. 9, 10, and 11 and run through the entire year.
