Please mark your calendars to attend a workshop from nationally known scholar Dr. Deryl G. Hunt on Inclusive Community Building and Conflict Resolution. The workshop will be open to ALL campuses, and will be held on Tuesday, November 17, from 4-6 p.m. (locations announced later).
The College of Education’s Diversity Committee would like to strongly encourage faculty, staff, and students to attend this informative and interactive workshop. We are very fortunate that Dr. Hunt is visiting the Pullman campus to conduct a series of workshops with student organizations and various units on campus, and has offered to provide a special workshop opportunity for us, since the majority of his work is in K-12 schools and Educational environments.
Dr. Hunt will focus his workshop on Building Inclusive Community in Higher Ed and K-12 Schools with his Conflict Resolution Model and The Ellison Model. The Ellison model is based in principles of inclusion, conflict resolution, mentorship, multicultural appreciation, and relationship building.
