Free self-defense class Oct. 8

The Association for Faculty Women and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation are co-sponsoring a free self-defense class on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. in Chinook 150. Open to all age 15 and up, the SASS course empowers participants to set and enforce healthy boundaries through trauma informed, statistically relevant training grounded in current research in abuse, trafficking, and criminal tactics. This class will be taught by Mesa Weidl, a certified and licensed instructor with SASS Go. Join this class free of charge, have fun, learn how to use your voice and body, and leave feeling empowered.
