The start of a new year is upon us and the CAHNRS Fac/Staff Evening Fitness classes are always ongoing every Monday to Thursday night at Ensminger Pavilion from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Classes are open to all employees, staff, faculty, WSU retirees, and spouses there of. You do not need to register for any of the classes as they are free — just attend to the flexibility of your schedule.
Classes are taught by CAHNRS staff member, Robert Yarbrough (yarbrord@wsu.edu). A certified group fitness instructor, Tai Chi instructor, and holder of numerous exercise licenses.
Monday nights — beginner, intermediate, and advanced Tai Chi. Functional aging meditative movements for those who wish to regain mobility and balance.
Tuesday & Thursday nights — Zumba Gold. A low cardio/low impact dance fitness set to world rhythms. If you like to move whether standing or sitting in a chair, then this class is for you.
Wednesday nights — Introductory Yoga. A gentle stretching and pose holding set of routines to improve flexibility.
Note: occasionally, evening events occur at Ensminger Pavilion and classes are relocated to a different venue. If you are not on the mailing list, please contact the instructor.
