Free faculty/staff fitness classes

With the return of warmer weather, CAHNRS would like everyone to know that free fitness classes are available for your convenience. Whether you are looking for an extracurricular activity or to bring about change in your life, these classes are available to all WSU employees, staff, faculty, graduates, retirees, and spouses thereof.

As of this semester, the following classes are available:

  • Tuesdays — Zumba Gold:
Low impact/low cardio dance fitness set to international rhythms.
  • Wednesdays — Introductory Yoga / CIRCL:
30 minutes of pose holding (yoga) followed by 30 minutes of pose flowing (CIRCL) set to music.
  • Thursdays — Zumba Toning:
Low impact/low cardio dance fitness utilizing 1 lb. toning sticks.

Classes are usually held every night starting at 5:30 p.m. at Ensminger Pavilion both in‑person and via Zoom. Sometimes class is held at an alternate location in case of an evening event at Ensminger.

Classes are taught by Robert Yarbrough, CAHNRS staff member and certified group fitness instructor. You may contact Rob at yarbrord@wsu.edu for more information or to be placed on one of the two mailing lists.
